Kadena High School welcomes people who care about children and have anywhere from an hour a week to an hour a year to help children learn.
In order to better serve you, we have created this area to provide current and prospective volunteers with complete information about what volunteers do, the volunteer placement process, requirements, available trainings and answers to the common questions we hear everyday.
We hope you find this information helpful and that you will decide to join us in giving every child the opportunity to learn and the support that they deserve.
You can be a volunteer in our school. All you have to do is decide you want to do it and make a commitment, and we'll help train you and find a school that needs your skills.
Volunteers work with our students in many ways including tutoring students, reading to children, assisting in the lunch room or helping in the library. They also support activities outside the classroom such as chaperoning field trips and initiating new programs.
For an hour a week or one day a month, your caring presence
and high expectations for children can motivate them to achieve.
